Statement of Intent
To develop a consistent brand identit y and appeal to a target audience of 16-25 year olds , I will narrow the focus of my music magazine to predominantly females . I chose a female audience to be the niche focus of this product because feminism and gender equality is an important social movement amongst young people aged 16-25, so I felt that it would be relevant to societal contexts and also appeal to young audiences. I will do this by using only women for my main images. In order to ensure my images represent multiple social groups, I will use models from a variety of ethnic backgrounds. I intend to carry a black and pink colour scheme across all of my products. Pink has traditional connotations of femininity and sweetness, whilst black has connotations of darkness, mystery, and danger.
